Inks

For about a year I didn't paint, I barely drew, and I only wrote a little. It took a move, and a little bit of motivation to get myself back into shape. I decided I'd get back into it by way of inks and water colors. I took a bunch of Jewish source images and used those as inspiration for the pieces that follow.
This was one of the first pieces after the hiatus. It was a far cry from what I was making before I had stopped. The piece below isn't a fair comparison of what I was making before stopping, but a good example of how much space I had to catch up on. After all, the piece below was one of my very first paintings. With four years passed, there was no excuse for the piece above. To be fair, I spent far less time and thought on the piece above, but when has fairness ever entered into any of this?
