I was very happy with how this turned out. This was one of the last pieces I did in the series of copying Jewish Rabbis and Singers over the course of a week. Each one got that much better. If I did a series of 20 or so more pieces of my own composition with this degree of color and fun I'd be a happy man. I did this piece, decided I was ready to step up the challenge, and then lost track of my inspiration, falling off the art bandwagon for a while. While the face and clothing are very off, and it's a bit flat and stiff, the colors are so much fun I'll forgive all that. My attempts at getting realistic skin tones continued to allude me.
